Nakshatra => Star(s) Setu=> Bridge. The name of the observatory literally means "A Bridge to the Stars". Apt I suppose would be an understatement because an observatory enables the user of the telescope with several (more) hours of quality observing time as compared to not having one.
I had decided about a month ago that it was highly impractical to carry my setup up and down to the roof from the room downstairs. This resulted in a waste of about 1 hour which otherwise could've been used for imaging. The project took about 3 days to complete. Local metal fabricator was hired to build the MS skeleton, followed by carpenters who covered the frame with Boiling Water Resistant Plywood of 8mm thickness which was primed, coated with metal putty, sanded and finished with exterior grade matt enamel finish (off-white).
