The rainy season has started (sort of) and it is now time for DIY enthusiasts as well as Amateur Telescope Makers (ATM) to get their tools out of the mothballs. I for one plan to build a cold box for my Canon 500D. Noise is a great problem for Astrophotographers and even a 5deg reduction in temperature makes a huge difference in noise characteristics. I will be essentially using design based on the wonderful work done by Gary Honis, but I will incorporate certain changes because most of us Indians live in regions with relatively high percentage of humidity. Keep watching my page for updates. Oh yes by the way if you all have been wondering what I have been up to and this prolonged silence on my page? I took a slight deviation and decided to jump into marital life. I did get married (Thank You all for the wishes) on 31st May 2015. Now I am back to work on Astronomy and Astrophotography. So looking at the photos below one does not need to make a guess as to what is being built.
AuthorI have made this website for the welfare of the Human kind interested in knowing more about the Universe outside of Earth. :) I shall keep it up to date with any information I feel relevant to astronomy. Archives
